LETS TALK! IS Old Age Affecting Ronaldo Or Man United’s Poor Form?

 

Hello Guys,

I was having a strong debate with a Man United fan last night.

He was so angry with Ronaldo’s attitude as the Portuguese wasted lots of chances to see his 700th club career goals in United 3 – 2 win over Omonia (Watch Highlight here)

Infact some football fans have suggested Lionel Messi who is currently on 691 club career goals will get to the 700th mark before the Man United man.

My friend who has been supporting United for 10 years now suggested that Footballing Old Age is seriously affecting Ronaldo’s ability to perform in top-flight football (He is 37) and he needs to retire before he continues to embarrass himself on the pitch.

 

I rejected his view. For me, while Old Age might be a factor, however, the real problem affecting the six-time Ballon d’Or winner is Man United’s poor/inconsistent form overall.

If standards are high, it will inevitably improve players in a club.

Ronaldo would have been in a better form if he had joined an inform Man City

If Ronaldo was in a club like Man City for example, the levels of Pep Guardiola’s team right now will improve any footballer on earth and for a fighter like Ronaldo, the inevitable will surely happen.
